Friday the 9th of January 2026: A missed chance, but with the help of a little bit of Code and something akin to "Marmite" I was able to replicate something. Taking a look at Plumtre Way in The Winter.

"What was the name of that 1970's Science Fiction Program, you know - the one in which humanity built machines to help them with life, through life and then the machines took over and humanity was on a journey to find a new earth? That one which provided an early look at what AI had the potential to do? Ah it is of course Battlestar Galactica."

Now yes, I grant you that might be a bit of a lets just say "slightly strange opening." But it was on Friday the 9th of January that the vast majority of the country awoke to see a rather different looking landscape, one that was blanketed in Snow, and Nottinghamshire - well that also had quite a lot of snowfall as well, rather randomly though,

"Places such as Mansfield in Nottinghamshire along with Ravenshead, just a short distance away from Mansfield, well they got Snow, and yet Newark and Ollerton in Nottinghamshire on exactly the same day, the 9th of January 2026, for they did not get any snow at all, and yet those places are just a short distance away from Mansfield and Ravenshead. Strange that is."

Digression aside and with all of the Snow outside, my idea to continue this interesting Plumtre Way, Project of mine was in the back of the mind, although looking out the window, well I could not see much Snow on the tops of the trees and in the end I did not manage to get my photos that I had kind of planned on getting,

Or did I?

You see, going back to that little opening to this post, about Battlestar Galactica, in a lot of ways the original and the subsequent remake of it, well they were warning signs of things to come, what with the delicate world and subjects surrounding AI - yes as a landscape and drone landscape photographer, even I think of AI as being akin to Marmite, you either like it or you do not. Me, I am split, but as I had not managed to get the photos that I had initially wanted, I simply went into the catalogue of photos that I had taken of Plumtre Way on Wednesday the 22nd of October 2025, and decided to do something interesting, with a little bit of code in the background working its magic from a few prompts that I had put in, and well I managed to transform the existing original photos into the vision that was in my mind.

Okay, the photos the original ones were taken on the 22nd of October 2025 with Autumn Colours, but with a bit of wording such as Snow, Snowfall, Winter etc, and AI, well it managed to do in my opinion a fairly decent job of coming up with the initial vision that I had wanted to carry out on Friday the 9th of January 2025, for I was able to replicate something, and below are the photos that with a bit of AI, I was left with.

But of course one last question, what do you think of AI? And AI in photography? Do let me know.

"The Snow, the magic of Plumtre Below."

"The Beauty of the Ice, floating above the Winter Magic."

"A Winter Plumtre Wonderland."

Wednesday the 22nd of October 2025: A better light and a golden glow. The magic of Plumtre Way shines below.

"There is just something magical about the Autumn, perhaps that is because it is a season of pure artwork!" And it more than likely is, for Autumn much like the Spring, offers something unique and that is a plethora of colours and works of art created by nature, Autumn of course is the season in which nature slowly begins to wind down for the winter and puts on something akin to a theatrical show before it goes into a sleep for the Winter, Spring on the other hand, well nature as it awakens after the Winter, also puts on a theatrical show, letting us know that new life has returned.  And yet, on Monday the 20th of October 2025, I had captured some photos of Plumtre Way, from a slightly different angle and unique perspective, I really was not happy with the photos that I had taken, the light was just off, and two days later on Wednesday the 22nd of October 2025, with near perfect light, what did I decide to do? Well that was to capture the following photos that showcase the b...

Welcome to "Plumtre Way." Something of a unique photography project of a unique stretch of road within the town of Eastwood.

Plumtree or Plumtre? For that of course is the question, but whilst you might think that it is "Plumtree Way" it is actually spelt "Plumtre Way." And whilst on a map, whilst driving either down Plumtre Way, or up Plumtre Way, it might look rather ordinary and might come across as a rather ordinary stretch of road, it is also a work of art. Yes, slightly strange perhaps to say, but down the middle of Plumtre Way, what is there? Well a lot of trees that over the years I have observed, for throughout the seasons they just have a little something magical about them. In the Spring they are alive with the arts of nature and that happens to be the beautiful Cherry Blossoms that make it truly magical and incredibly photogenic, in the Summer they are awash with beautiful shades of green foliage and in the Autumn they come alive with the most opulent shades of colour, just as nature prepares itself for a big sleep and of course the incoming elements and bareness that Winter...
